Hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) is a colorless liquid that is a light-curing monomer used to make acrylic polymers. In other words, HEMA is commonly used in nail products to help build layers of sturdy polish and add a layer of shine. Despite this chemical being an easy solution in gel formulas, TGB offers strong and durable alternatives. 

Our traditional BIABs use 10%-15% less HEMA than the suggested limit for nail polish, whereas our HEMA-free nail products don’t contain any. Either way, our builder gels and polygels offer more inclusive options for your clients.
