What is HEMA? 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate or hydroxyethyl methacrylate, the adhesive element that typically is used in other nail polish. It can cause an allergic reaction leading to eczema, inflammation, and severe skin irritation when enough HEMA is absorbed through the skin and nails.
All TGB products have HEMA concentration levels under 20% (which falls below the 30%-35% recommended limit). That being said, we developed HEMA-Free BIAB as an option for clients who might have sensitive skin with the same purpose, quality, and finish as our original BIAB except without HEMA.
